WINGS OF THE COAST

Since 1993, our family has been here in the beautiful north-western shores of Cyprus – an integral part of the Akamas Laona Region, a sacred biosphere, nestled within the rustic village mountain tops of Kathikas. We continue preserving our roots and leading the way as one of the first local wineries of the island.

Family and tradition is at the core of all that we do – our purpose and driving force. Our story began when the three brothers Heracles, Georgios and Giannis Kyriakides connected deeply with the land their family grew up in. They enriched themselves with knowledge, dedication, and care – together with the technologically advanced machinery used, leading Vasilikon Winery to be one of the most accomplished wineries in Cyprus.

Our vineyards sit on an altitude of 650-700 metres above sea level, with soil that is immersed in a warm Mediterranean climate, a light coastal winter and a refreshing Spring and Autumn. Most of the vineyards are on lime (asbestolithic) ground, and others in loamy-gypsum. Our commitment to best practices is highlighted in our anti-herbicide approach, using light soil treatment instead and relying solely on rainfall. After pruning, Marc and pruning wood are incorporated to maintain the sustainability of vineyards and enrich them with organic matter.
